Son's birthday bash....

Last night, my family and I , together with some close friends, we celebrated JWee's birthday. I guess, Soon Ling and I just wanted to give our son a little something for his birthday. We could not afford any fancy present for him and we want to have a real simple birthday bash for him. In fact, no matter how diffciult we may be, SLing and I always made it a point to celebrate our children's birthday. It is like our way of telling them that they are close to our hearts yet we could not afford any extravagant parties for them even though we loved them a lot. Loving your children doesn't mean you have to be extravagant. Sometimes, being simple makes a whole lot better than being way over the top in showering love.
We started out by moving through an ocean of bodies after bodies at the Pikom Fair 2009 at Mahkota Parade. Yeah! You'll get a whole swarm of aromas and smells from the nice to the not-so-nice smell. It's really a jungle of bodies out there. Actually, JWee didn't know that we are having a small makan for him at KFC. As we wade through the computer shops, we noted that prices are about the same and the madness have not started though.
It was when we took him to KFC that JWee's face lighted up a bit. Yeah, we had a long day in church service, then it's Royal Rangers meeting and now, it's off for some meal and celebrations. Thanks to Errol and family who brought the cake while the presence of Dinesh,Abby, their children Dave and Caleb together with Steven and WanSin made it a really joyful occassion. Laughter and fun were shared. I guess, for me, that speaks volume in terms of friendship and great hearts. Thank you, my friends for making JWee's birthday bash a great time.

Thanks again, friends!~
