Starting out the new year, 2010, with a great bang was a great idea and I must say that I had a great 2010 bash in the form of a wedding celebration. I felt honored, overflowing joy and a great sense of pride when my dearest "daughter" MC [ BTW, all young female/male commanders in RR ministy are our daughters and sons ] and Eric sealed their marriage covenant in Hebron Presbyterian Church in Johor Baru yesterday morning. I guess, I must say that they have been planning for the wedding for quite some time and everything went on smoothly. What touched me most was the speech given by Rachel [ another "daughter" of mine ] who went up on the pulpit to share her admiration and great time with her best buddy, MC. It was touching, sentimental and a touch of class with a beautiful accapella rendition of Dionne Warwick's - "That's What Friends Are For" soulful ending. I must tell you, it brought tears to my eyes seeing both these young ladies' friendship and closeness at heart. For me, I was moved because I know deep in my heart that MC is in the good hands of the Lord in her partner, Eric. Well, all in all, they, Eric & MC truly belonged to each other. On that beautiful morning, both Eric & MC looked fabulous in white. It was truly a sight to behold - with great decorations and great declaration of love for one another. Even the message was truly inspiring and apt.
I was moved beyond words for I know what it meant to be patient in relationship and constantly loving your life partner. MC and Eric have that love for one another and to make it a reality was a real time of their life. I was also moved for I have seen how MC have grown up from a young girl and blossomed into a young leader in church and later, into a beautiful lady now holding the title of Mrs.Eric. What more can I say except that God's hand of blessing have been in her life and Eric's life that they found one another and now, loving one another in covenant of marriage.

As I moved up and down to take pictures of the new couple, I managed to glance a look at their parents. Truly a proud moment for them to have raised such fine and beautiful children - waiting for a time such as this to celebrate awesomely. Yunno, my heart leapt with joy when I saw how radiant, calm and beautiful my "daughter" MC was and beside her stood, handsome, dashing and truly humble, Eric. Yes, she is in great hands indeed. That's all that matters to me - my daughter(s) starting out their journey of life with a good & able partner.
As Vive, Sathy and myself exchange glances, we have this connectivity that we are so happy for MC. It is never said but we felt it in our hearts. We are also glad that it was like letting go a beautiful pair of white doves to the sky and knowing that we have somehow played a good part in shaping her life. I guess, we have been blessed by this wedding and the reception was great. As MC & Eric journey into their new life as a couple, we pray that God would continue to lay out His abundance love, grace and mercy upon this young couple's lives. May the Lord's blessings and great love accompany them throughout their journey of life.
By the way, "That's What Friends Are For " is a great song!~
