BBQ Nite.....A Combined Cell Delight

Just a few moments ago, Bachang Cell group in which I am a part of had just concluded a night of fellowship and fun with another cell group namely Town 2 Cell. It was really a good time of talking. laughing , sharing of ideas and loads of food! [ Yippeeeee! ] The top of the charts was the barbecued chicken wings, beef and chicken burgers, sausages , tau kuah, tau kees and corn. Our centre table spread was even more impressive namely roti jala, thick and creamy chicken curry, mixed vegetables, Ayamas BBQ chicken, fruit salad, vegetable acar of cucumber, pineapple & chilli mixture and rice. Equipped with iced-cold greenish in color mixed fruit cordial, we have prepared all the ingredients for a great time of fellowship and button bursting food fare!
We started out with our usual P & W session followed by a word of prayer before 'makan' time begin! By this time, the children are already screaming for food!
We had started out quite early at the BBQ pits which were brought by Alex and Yvonne. We shared some good laughter and fun while trying our hands at the BBQ pit. My only problem was that the smoke keep getting in my way and I felt as though I was in another fire site - the only difference was that this smell nicer - BBQ chicken smell, man! My fellow accomplice in crime at the BBQ pit was Bryan Lee. We were having real fun firing up the chicken wings to perfection while making sure the sausages were in edible condition. Scouts honor & sumpah ! We did not gobble up any sausages nor chicken wings prior to hitting the dining table.
I guess, the night turned out great as we had great food and great fellowship together. What more could we asked for! In all honesty, it was really a very relaxing time and tonight was just smooth. It cosy, easy and simple. No fuss, no rules and best of all , no difficulties. Everyone was easy going and pleasant to talk to. Even the children were a bundle of joy but very playful indeed. I think, it must have been the drinks! Someone would have spike the drinks with joy enhancing drugs until these children just go goo-goo and ga ga running around the atrium with their new found bundles of energy. Well, children should be children and they deserve to horse around the place as long as they don't thrash the place or each other for that matter! Great night and cleaning up was equally the fast, man. I guess, more people makes load lighter , right? Well, what a night! A great night indeed! Thanks everyone for a great time out there today! God bless you all for a great night!
