With hit movies like " I Not Stupid 1 & 2 ", " Money Not Enough", "I Do, I Do", " Ah Long Pte Ltd", "Just Follow Law" and the latest movie, " Money Not Enough 2", Singaporean film director, Mr. Jack Neo has produced another smashing movie in the local movie industry. For the benefit of those who are not familiar with Jack Neo's work, the movies he directs & produces normally jabbed and poked fun at the Singaporean government, our everyday life, familiar life grounds and also, brought cheers to the heart of the audiences with string of comical local Singaporean english [ namely Singlish ], Mandarin and also, local favourite dialect, the Hokkien language.
Last night, I had the opportunity together with the wife to digress again the directorial brilliance of Jack's new movie "Money Not Enough 2 "! I was pleasantly surprised at the moralistic message brought in the movie and the effects of it. He invokes a range of emotions and portrays the exact reaction to the situations that ensued in the story line.

The story line is actually very simple. It is about the grand sacrifices of the one called MOM. The story line revolves around the lives of her three sons' lives [ their characthers briliantly acted out by Jack Neo, Henry Thia and Mark Lee ] and their different reactions towards treating their mother during her old age and towards the fragile life itself. Ultimately, the mother passed away [ sob! sob! dramatic-lar, sigh!* ] but there were other dramatic scenes prior to her death and the grand sacrifices she made. This is a story line which everyone can easily relate to. These are common things in our daily lives from the mom's perspective ~ things like keeping cash in biscuit tin, helping out sons in their hour of need, shifting to stay with one son to another and ultimately, going to the old folks home and dying broken-hearted. Then, there's the favourite moral lesson on greed , selfishness and all the sins of the world. It's a great movie with a great dosage of comedy and comical acts plus the movie did enough to invoke dramatic emotional reactions. Really-lar. Go and see the movie-lar!
It is actually more than a movie. Yunno, in some way, we all have experienced this. How many times have we heard of our neighbour's mother or somebody else mother who had to live from one place to another or hearing of the great sacrifices/heroic acts carried out by some mothers? As I watched this movie, my heart goes out to all the mothers in this world [ inclusive of my missus too! ] Truly, your sacrifices & love supercedes way a lot of things. Indeed, mothers are the real quiet unsung heroes!~ So, treat your mothers, right? Love them, be with them, spend time with them and never mind if they are whinny or sometimes look silly in your sight. Love them for who they are and love her for she brought you out in this world after carrying you for 9 months in her womb. That itself is a real sacrifice! Be blessed, mothers!~
