Baptism.. a great day

Last Sunday, my daughter together with some great friends went through baptism in the church pool. The entire baptism ceremony was done in the full presence of a church congregation. It started off with praise & worship session and it was followed by testimonies from the baptismal candidates and later, the ceremony itself. For the benefit of others who doesn't know what baptism means to the Christian community, it is actually immersing one self in water to symbolizes the "death" of our old self and rise up after the immersion to become a new creation in the eyes of the Lord. It is like having a new beginning in life. It is also a physical demonstration to the world that we are now a child of God and to be a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am so proud of my daughter's commitment. I pray that the good Lord would protect her and the rest of the baptismal candidates in their walk of new life. I pray too that they would continue to honor the Lord in every possible as they chart their life and future. God bless them all !~
