Have you tried travelling on KTM Komuter before? If not, I would suggest you try other alternatives when travelling to Seremban or to Klang. Yeah! I had the first hand experience to board the KTM Komuter from Klang to Mid-Valley and I must say, it is a NO joy ride. OK, you may argue that that it is on a weekend and there would be a large crowd and so on. Your point is well-taken but what about adding more coaches if you know that there will be a big crowd during the weekends? Don't they - KTM Komuter people, know this? Come on, I paid a fare of RM 3.70 just to stand all the way from Klang to Sentral then to Mid-Valley amidst all the bodies around me. I really felt like a pole dancer standing in the commuter. To be honest too , I've never felt so "molested" all my life! Imagine when you have to shield your wife, daughter and even your girlfriend from the sardine-packed people from all walks of life and all sorts of nationalities! Their bodies were moving, swaying, get close and accidentally hitting/touching one another. It is not that they purposely do it but sometimes during the travels, the commuter goes fast and slow, to the left and to the right. I must admit , occasionally, I would bumped into somebody, touch here and there due to close proximity and even accidentally knocked someone's face and so on. Yes, I am very uncomfortable with this. It is a sweaty and tiring experience plus my armpits doesn't smell that good when sweaty-lar. BTW, there were just scores and scores of people from all nationalities boarding the KTM Komuter to Sentral/Mid-Valley that day.
The other thing is the general rudeness of the public when getting in/alighting from the commuter. True to the Malaysian spirit of "rush-rush", there are lines for people to queue up but when the commuter doors are opened, all hell break loose! I won't be surprised if someday, you'll see some limbs - arm, legs, fingers, ears, hair etc.etc, being thrown out during the rush hours. Man, Malaysians and other nationalities [ Indonesians, Pakistani,. Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Indians dll ] have got to learn some serious civic manners. One thing is clear though, even though there were so-call KTM officers manning the so-call lining up lines, the enforcement part was weak and clearly needed improvement. It's a far difference when you board a commuter train in Singapore. There's order and civic-mindedness in place. If you don't believe me, try going down to a commuter station and see if what I say is true or not. We look like a bunch of monkeys trying to tear our heads off when boarding and alighting from the commuter. Anyway, once you're inside the commuter, there is just this mixture of smell as the air-conditioning needs some serious fixing and repairing, man. I can safely tell you this - if there is any man/woman who "accidentally" let go or leak some of their natural gases in the commuter, you'll probably have a pandemonium of shrieks & fainting in the commuter. Also, if you have a guy who has bad gases for a last few days, get him off the commuter! It'll probably make H1N1 virus look like child's play, man!

I tell you this, if there is ever going to be any epidemic in our country, it would have been easily released through our commuter services. Yes, there has got to be some enforcement checking or even so civicness at our commuter station. Really, there has to be improvement in our public mode of transportation if we are ever going to move forward. No wonder cars and motor cycles are piling up on our roads simply because if our public mode of transportation is reliable, efficient and clean, there definitely will be less cars in our streets today.
My five sen inputs are just this :One - Please ensure that the air-conditioning is working and in good order.
Two - Ensure that there is enough coaches during weekends or peak hours.
Three - Ensure that there is orderly lining up in boarding and alighting from the train.
Four - Ensure that old people, mothers with children or even pregnant women are given seats.
Five - Touch card system will be far more efficient than ticketing system.
That's so much for our commuter system. Will I board the KTM Komuter again in the future? Naaaaaaah!~ That's the truth.

it's the cry of the of many!!!!
sedikit tip daripada DWO yang suka jalan dan duduk KL 3 tahun
1. naik ktm masa solat/ masa tengahari. msian kan very religious dan suka makan? hehehe.. help a bit
2. stand as near to the door. fastest to breathe =)
3. dun stand in the middle of the ktm door coz that's where ppl walk out =)
4. if no seats, stand as near s the door, easier to come out and dun hv to be so "molested"
5. use bag as protection. big bags are in fashion for a reason. hahahaha...
sekian, terima kasih.
lame. hahahahaha
hahaha.. i agree with sue ern. And i seldom used the ktm travel from seremban to kl. Express buses are more reliable and faster.. hahaha. and i always stand near the door. easy to get out..
Sue Ern:
